Gone Girl

8.5/10 STARS
Movie was phenomenal. It made you cringe. It made you sympathize back and forth between characters. It made you ponder till the very last second who was really the villain. Or was there any villain at all. Is love truly just a relationship of sanity. Which couple is the sanest. How far will the truth test you and bring out your inner trolls. The score music was eerie. Down to perfection. Ben Afflect had this boy next store innocence laid down while his costar portrayed this uptight ....to this psychopath if a wife. Her eyes...oo her eyes made you either love her or hate her (hates a strong her so lets go with despise). I absolutely loved this film. The description of the film does not give away one inch of the thrill ride you will endure for 2.5 hours. I rate this film 8.5/10 stars.

Con- length of film

Exploring the film
  • the cat played a statute role in the film and would love to k ow the deeper meaning behind the cat and ots positions in certain shot. In particular towards the end of the film when the cat is on the kitchen counter sitting with its' owner, the wife, Amy stands behind it as the psychotic picture perfect housewife
  • Amy's obsession in getting back at her husband and other guys ..I have to wonder if her parents drove her to this. Actually at one point I even thought the parents made Amy take on this who role of being kidnapped for publishing and popularity purposes
  • I think Amy was jealous of her book character Amazing Amy. It's like she lived this fantasy life in her books because deep down and in reality her life was not up to par. With Amazing Amy she could write her own path to be independent and be who she wanted to be. She could make decisions and that would be final.
  • Then also wonder if she hit a road block and she wanted the next best thing  for Amazing Amy... She wants to be center stage and  wanted to win the hearts of her readers. In her world Amy was isolated and stiffened. Hence killing her in the real world would get rid of her and end her sorrows while her legacy of a masterpiece lived on in her books. This plot (Amy's devious plan against her husband) was Amazing Amy's one of a kind masterpiece that would be off the charts.
