47 Ronin

Finally got to see this movie! Honestly the trailer wasn't all that impressive. It made me question what the purpose of the film was. After viewing the film, the same question remained. It lacked depth, and their was a disconnect between Japanese culture and modern times. The acting was mediocre, and the Japanese actors spoke with an old English accent which left me even more puzzled. For once, I questioned Keanu Reeves performance and was not impressed at all. This movie had so much potential to honor the true story of the 47 ronin, but rather it did nothing to make it shine. Overall I rate this film 5 out of 10 stars.
